Ex-Married At First Sight star Cathy Evans debuts her new boyfriend

Her marriage to Josh Pihlak ended on a sour note after she clashed with his mother on Married At First Sight.

But Cathy Evans has found love again, and she finally debuted her new boyfriend, Richard, in a loved-up Instagram post on Thursday.

The 26-year-old posted a fan’s illustration of the couple, and explained in the caption that she won’t be sharing many photos of Richard because he’s a very private person.

‘It’s a special day today. My boyfriend’s birthday and I don’t share him on Insta purely because I like to keep my love life private,’ she told her 181,000 followers. 

‘People wanna ruin a good thing and I don’t want that for us. Plus he’s a private man and I respect his wishes. But for once, I’ll post of us. I love you so much.’ 

In the illustrated image, Cathy smiles as Richard wraps his arms around her.

Richard’s face can’t be made out in the drawing, presumably because he wants to keep his identity a secret, but he appears to have a beard and a sleeve tattoo.  

Cathy revealed that the unique image was made by T & D Collective.

The reality star met police office Richard shortly after filming Nine’s social experiment, but this marks the first time she has shared a photo of him on Instagram.

‘I think I fell in love with every aspect of Ritchie’s being – he is so supportive and believes in me, and that makes me so excited,’ she told NW in May. 

‘We see a future together and are already thinking about what suburb we would buy or build a house in. And kids will happen. No dates yet, but stand by!’

Her MAFS ex-‘husband’ Josh is believed to be single.
