It comes after David and his son Romeo paid tribute to their beloved dogs while celebrating International Dog Day on Wednesday.
The 45-year-old first posted an adorable photo of him wincing as his youngest pooch Sage attempted to give him a sloppy kiss on the lips from their Cotswold bolthole.
Clad in his signature tweed baker boy cap, the former footballer closed his eyes and scrunched up his face as his canine companion rested her front two legs on his shoulders while she leaned in for a smooch.
