Country singer Mickey Guyton shows off her growing baby bump as she announces she is pregnant with her first child

Country singer Mickey Guyton has shown off her growing baby bump as she announced she is pregnant with her first child.  

Guyton, 37, shared the good news on her Instagram account on Tuesday, where she posted photos of her sonogram and burgeoning torso.

This will be the first child for Guyton and her husband Grant Savoy, an attorney whom she married in Hawaii in 2017.

In her announcement, Guyton referenced the current challenging times while revealing the range of emotions she experienced upon learning she was going to be a mother.   

‘Even in times of darkness, like the ones we as a society find ourselves in today, God always finds a way to shine His light on the beautiful side of life, like the miracle of life itself,’ Guyton wrote on Instagram.

‘I’m so excited to announce that I’m having a baby! My life completely changed in an instant. Literally nothing else matters. I’m so excited and terrified all at the same time. I have no idea what I am doing but am so thankful that God chose me to be this baby’s mom.’

Guyton placed her sonogram photos inside of a decorative box, which she opened for the camera in a boomerang Instagram video.

‘Baby Savoy coming 2021,’ she captioned the video.

The next photo was of her growing bump, which was digitally adorned with a baby emoji.

‘God sent me an angel in these dark times and I am beyond grateful and terrified and all of the things,’ Mickey wrote in the snap.

The country songstress will be back in the spotlight soon enough with the release of her six-song EP, Bridges, which will be released September 11.

The EP contains the track Black Like Me, which was written prior to the deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Aubrey and Breonna Taylor, and details her early encounters with racism. 

‘Country music is three chords and the truth. This is my truth,’ Guyton told he Associated Press of her new music.
