Country music stars Naomi and Wynonna Judd are the subject of a new anthology music series being developed at Fox Television.

The show titled Icon envisages multiple seasons with each telling the story of a music legend over a number of one-hour episodes.

Their story: Country music stars Naomi and Wynonna Judd are the subject of a new anthology music series titled Icon that’s being developed at Fox Television, Deadline reported Tuesday

Naomi and Wynonna are set to serve as executive producers on the project which has yet to find a writer. It’s not known which other artists may be featured in the series should it be picked up.

Mother and daughter duo The Judds dominated country music in the 1980s and 1990s, with a string of hits, including 14 country music number ones, millions of album sales and countless awards including five Grammys.

The pair stopped performing together in 1991 after Naomi was diagnosed with Hepatitis C, and Wynonna went on to enjoy a successful solo career.

They last performed live together in 2010 with their Last Encore Tour.

In June, it was announced that The Judds will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The news comes as Fox seeks to develop a number of other music projects.

Following the end of its hit show Empire, about a  hip hop record label mogul and his family, the network is now working on a scripted drama centered on a country music dynasty.

It’s also looking to create a spin-off for Taraji P. Henson’s Empire character Cookie Lyon.
