With $120,000 worth of luxurious Gaggenau Hausgeräte kitchen appliances on the line, stakes were undoubtedly high during the guest bedroom renovation challenge.

And Daniel, 35, was quick to notice that his screws were missing, prompting him to confront George.

‘I just caught your plasterers in my spare room grabbing my screws. So, you guys may have run out of screws by the looks of it?’ Daniel said.

With George pointing out that they were sharing the same plasterers, Daniel responded saying: ‘I told them [plasterers] to make sure they put them back because I don’t want to run out either!’

Speaking to a producer later, George admitted that he was no longer in the mood to be friendly with his competitors.

‘The first couple of days were like, “Hey, how are you going?” That’s not going to be happening again. I’ll be on top of it.’

‘Mate, I’m tough, and I’m not scared to talk my mind. I don’t want to spank anyone, but if I have to start spanking, it’s going to happen!’ George cheekily added.

Later, a fired-up George approached Daniel after some of his equipment went missing.

‘Your guys are walking off and taking whatever. So, I’m missing heaps of s***!’ he vented.

Daniel responded: ‘I want to know what you’re missing because I took all the stuff of the truck personally and I had my list. So, don’t just say they’ve taken all your stuff!’

‘I wasn’t going to take it on the chin. Pick up your s***, simple as that. Thieving mongrels!’ There’s my first argument, but things are obviously on the horizon, which will be a bit of an issue point.’
