A source told The Sun: ‘She and Tom have called it quits and are no longer together. They spent lockdown together but it gave them time to evaluate what they want.

‘They decided taking time apart was the best idea and they have gone their separate ways.

‘Tom has never courted the spotlight and has quit social media because he doesn’t want to see anything related to her.’

The insider added that the soap star has ‘thrown herself’ into filming her new show and had been attempting to keep busy but it’s ‘not been easy’.

Back in February, Lucy – who met Tom through pals in 2017 – spoke about her desire to marry him following her departure from Corrie.

She told Metro: ‘I want Tom to propose to me at some point and I want to move house. I like having a project.’

It comes as Lucy’s fans have speculated that YouTube star Joe Weller ‘fancies her’ as he admitted there’s ‘someone’ he has the hots for on the show after they filmed new TV programme Don’t Rock The Boat.

The actress and Joe, also 24, are among 12 celebrities taking part in the upcoming ITV show, which will seriously test their ‘sea legs’ as they attempt to row the length of Britain.

And following their adventure on the high seas, fans have speculated that Joe ‘fancies’ Lucy despite her being in a long-term relationship with boyfriend Tom at the time.

Filming for the new show took place recently, with several of the stars – including Adam Thomas, Fleur East, Jack Fincham and Kimberley Wyatt – sharing Instagram snaps from their adventure.

And ahead of his debut on the new TV series, Joe discussed his experiences in his latest YouTube podcast, Wafflin’, where he admitted he fancies someone on the show.

During the podcast, Joe’s pal Theo Baker read out an email from an anonymous female.

The lady in question was seeking advice after admitting that she had grown close to a guy while filming the series, despite her being in a relationship.

The email read: ‘Hey Joe, Theo and Larry. Bit of a sticky one here. I’ve been with my boyfriend for a little while now, and things seem OK.

‘However, I’m currently on holiday and I’ve met this new boy. We get on very well, and my friend and I both think he’s cute. She keeps making ‘banter’ saying we make a great couple.

‘I’ve been texting him a little bit and we get on really well – maybe too well.

‘What do I do? Do I cut it off with my boyfriend, or do I see where this goes? PS – I may have said me and my boyfriend are sort of not great.’

Actor Joe then went on to address the email and appeared to get rather flustered as he replied to the unknown girl.

He said: ‘What I’d say, is… I basically on this TV show met everyone and it’s been a great experience so far. We’ve done a lot of training, everyone gets along, and that is it.

‘I’ve met no one, there’s not someone on the show that I’m going out with. You’ve crumbled me here.’

To which his pal Theo quipped: ‘I’ve not said anything, I’ve just read an email. No one’s mentioned any TV show.’

Joe then continued: ‘What I’m going to say, to this particular individual, is if she’s feeling like she’s attracted to this new guy on holiday – even though they are on holiday…

‘The fact that she feels like that, and she’s not 100 percent with her boyfriend – I don’t think that it’s right for her to continue with her boyfriend.’

Theo then asked: ‘Should she cut it off with her boyfriend and then be allowed to pursue it on the holiday?’ to which the giggling YouTuber said: ‘Yeah.’

Joe then admitted that there was someone he had the hots for on a show he was on.

He added: ‘But there’s someone I fancy on the show.

‘There is someone that I fancy, from the group, that I’m doing this TV show with. We’re away for three weeks, and you know. We’ll see what happens.’

Though the email made no mention of either Joe or Lucy, fans tuning in were left convinced that the YouTube star ‘fancies’ the soap actress.

A third added: ‘Joe definitely is talking about that lass from Coronation Street who looks like Maeve Wiley.’

While a fourth speculated: ‘Who else thinks joe weller fancies Lucy Fallon for Corrie.’

In an interview, the actress, who announced her departure to pursue ‘other projects’, has already said that while she wants to ‘spread my wings’, she’d ‘go back to Corrie in the future if they will have me’.

The soap star told The Sun: ‘Obviously Covid-19 has thrown it all up in the air now. I’m very conscious of the fact that I don’t want it to sound like I see going back to Corrie as a back-up — that’s absolutely not how it is.

‘I absolutely love that show and I would do it a thousand times over and I obviously would 100 per cent go back there in future if they will have me. Corrie is the only part I’ve ever auditioned for… but I know that’s not always going to happen.’

Don’t Rock The Boat is set to air on ITV this autumn.
