Love Island: Cely Vazquez couples up with three different guys on season two premiere from Las Vegas

Cely Vazquez coupled up three times Monday during the season two premiere of Love Island on CBS.

The 24-year-old legal secretary from Sacramento, California during the first coupling session was picked by Jeremiah White, 22, of Mississippi, after Justine Ndiba, 27, of New Jersey, stepped forward to express interest in him.

Tre Forte, 25, of Florida, later during the swimsuits-only coupling session chose Cely to couple with and relegated Jeremiah to the substitute bench.

Cely at the end of the two-hour premiere was selected by ’11th wheel’ Johnny Middlebrooks, 22, of Virginia, who had his pick among all of the women.

The show opened with narrator Matthew Hoffman telling viewers in a voice-over: ‘Warning: The following program contains love, lust, and a disinfected rooftop we’re calling an island.’

Love Island due to the coronavirus pandemic moved to Las Vegas where host Arielle Vandenberg, 33, introduced the 11 initial contestants who will be competing over six weeks for the grand prize of $100,000.

‘So as long as you’re not too hung up on the definition of the word “Island,” this is going to be a lot of fun,’ Matthew told the audience.

Arielle first met with the women, including Cely, Justine, Kaitlynn Anderson, Mackenzie Dipman and Moira Tumas.

They then stood in a pool of shallow water as Arielle started the first coupling session.

The session ended with Cely and Tre coupled up along with Kaitlynn, 27, of Michigan, and Carrington Rodriguez, 22, of Utah; Mackenzie, 24, of Arizona and Connor Trott, 23, of Pittsburgh, and Moira, 28, of New Jersey, and James McCool, 27, of Virginia.

Justine, 27, of New Jersey, and Jeremiah were automatically coupled since they were both single at the end of the session.

‘This is so awkward,’ Justine said when Arielle asked how it felt to be with Jeremiah after stepping forward for him.

Arielle then introduced the five couples to Johnny who revealed in a confessional that he grew up surrounded by women.

‘I grew up with three sisters, and I feel like just growing up around women I learned to understand them, like, to a deeper level, and knowing the way I want my sisters to be treated, that’s how I want to treat a girl,’ Johnny added.

Arielle told the group that Johnny ‘in the next 24 hours will be coupling up with one of your girls, leaving one of you single and vulnerable. To stay on love island, you have to be in a couple’.

Moira and Mackenzie were both happy with their guys, while Kaitlynn was undecided and Justine already put Jeremiah in the ‘friend zone’.

Mackenzie said she made a promise to herself not to hook up with anyone, but was open to a lot of making out.

She told Connor that she was a big sports fan and he called her his ‘dream girl’.

Tre who played football at Ohio State University hit it off with former cheer captain Cely.

‘Our conversation was one of the easiest things ever. That’s what I love about, like, being able to talk to someone and not feeling like anything is forced. That is like a breath of fresh air. Tre impressed me a little bit,’ Cely said.

The group had an opportunity to learn more about each other where James and Moira continued to flirt.

‘I’m the biggest cuddler ever,’ Moira told him as they looked forward to sleeping together.

They kissed and Moira admitted in a confessional that she was having the best time with him.

Johnny made his first contact with Cely who revealed that she had never met anyone from Virginia.

Cely’s water bottle sprung a leak and Johnny asked why it was leaking so much.

‘You’re making me wet already,’ Cely quipped.

Johnny in a confessional said he was undecided and wanted to speak with more of the women.

He talked to Kaitlynn but Carrington stepped in to talk to her and they kissed.

Tre also made an effort to talk to Kaitlynn and they also enjoyed a small makeout session.

‘I’m getting deja vu with this kiss me Kate routine,’ quipped narrator Matthew.

Kaitlynn was upfront and told Cely about Tre kissing her.

Johnny in order to make the right decision talked to Mackenzie who told him about Tre and Kaitlynn making out.

He later picked Cely to couple with leaving Tre single.

The episode ended with Cely feeling special after being chosen by Johnny.

‘I’m a smitten kitten right now,’ Cely admitted.

Johnny and Cely then caught up and kissed again.

Cely said she afterward that she had ‘major butterflies’ and was ‘really, really excited about Johnny’.

The episode ended with Jeremiah and Carrington receiving an invitation for a jacuzzi date with two new women joining the show.

Love Island will return Tuesday on CBS.
