Singer Dami Im was left with deep bite marks on her leg after she was attacked by a dog on Tuesday,

The X-Factor 2013 winner, 31, shared a photo on her Instagram showing a section of her trousers cut out, exposing two deep wounds on her leg.

She explained in her caption: ‘I was on my morning walk, minding my own business and this dog jumped on me out of the blue.’

The Super Love hit maker, who lives in Brisbane, said that the owner showed lack of care towards her despite clearly being in pain.  

‘The owner walked away without checking if I was OK even though you could see my pant had ripped and I was sobbing on the ground out of pain and shock,’ she wrote. 

Thankfully, a friend was able to take her to a GP where she was treated for the bite.

Her manager told Daily Mail Australia she received a tetanus shot and is feeling better despite the leg pain.

Dami clarified in her caption that despite the attacked, she still loves dogs and urged owners to take responsibility for the pet. 

‘If you can’t manage them, it’s your fault if they attack people on the street,’ she added.

Dami first rose to fame as the season five winner of the now-defunct Channel Seven singing competition, The X-Factor.

In 2016, she went on to perform her song Sound of Silence at the Eurovision Song Competition in Sweden and came in second place.

Earlier this year, Dami also competed in season two of Channel 10’s Dancing With The Stars.
