Big Fat Gypsy Wedding star Paddy Doherty has revealed his son suffered three bleeds to the brain after he was mugged by an alleged gang-of-four.

The Celebrity Big Brother winner said his son was walking to his car after eating dinner at the Market Vaults pub in Llangefni, Anglesey, when he was thrown to the ground.

‘He felt a lot of kicking and was hit on the head,’ Paddy told MailOnline. ‘The police have got CCTV out of the pub. They are jumping up high and dancing on his head.’

The thieves ripped a £30,000 gold-coloured Rolex from his arm and tried to pull off his diamond ring, but they couldn’t prise it free as his finger was swollen.

The son, who has not been named but was described as the ‘head of the family’, was in hospital for two days before he self-discharged and returned home.

‘His face is a mess but it’s good to have him home,’ said Paddy. ‘He’s alright as well.’

Speaking to MailOnline about the attack, Paddy said it had left the family ‘all messed up’.

‘You can always replace value, anything that has value you can replace, but you can’t replace life. What man can’t fix, you’ve got a problem.

‘I was worried life would go upside down – but I woke up this morning with a smile on my face. I couldn’t lose him. For me and my wife, our life would have ended then.

‘Four men giving one person a beating for a watch – that’s the way the world’s going.’

He thanked everyone for offering warm wishes after hearing about the tragedy.

‘I want to say thank you to everyone. Thank you very much, with all my heart, thank you.’

Paddy first revealed the attack on his son in a Facebook video, that has now been deleted.

‘We thought I was going to lose my son. I give thanks and prayers to God, thanks God, for not taking my son. I am lucky to have my son back,’ he said in the clip.

‘Life is so short, enjoy it while you can.

‘Thank god, my Jesus, he was bleeding on the brain in three places, but he’s great now, thank God and I give thanks and prayers to God.’

The former bare-knuckle boxer expressed his disbelief over the attack saying ‘isn’t it a shame when you can’t wear jewellery’.

His son telephoned him from outside the pub after the attack, he said, and said he thought he was going to die.

North Wales Police confirmed that they were called to an incident of ‘public disorder’ near Market Vault Pubs at 9.40pm on Saturday, August 22.

Paddy has lost four of his children to the rare genetic disorder Fraser Syndrome. It is characterised by fused eyelids and webbed fingers and toes.
