The 45-year-old actress opened up about people’s expectations of her while speaking about her new film The One And Only Ivan.

Angelina was interested in the story after her daughter Shiloh, 14, first read it.
‘Well, Shiloh read the book and we started reading it together and talked about Ivan and why Ivan was so special,’ she explained.

Angelina delved into the moral of the film, which her costar Brooklyn Prince said was about the importance of keeping promises.
‘I think a lot of people can also relate to that. Where there’s expectations on them to be what people assume they are and they don’t often have the friends or freedom to express who they really are… and be that person.’
The Tomb Raider actress found a connection with her own life in the film’s message.
‘I’m pretty much who I am because I don’t know how to be anything else… but if you asked me, “Do I think people really know me as who I really am?” I think only my children could explain who I am, really,’ she said.

The actress recently requested that Judge John W. Ouderkirk be removed from the case for failing to disclose a work relationship with one of Brad’s attorneys.
Ouderkirk also happens to be the judge who married the former couple at their French estate Château Miraval in 2014.
Angelina has expressed a desire to move with the children to Richmond, a tony suburb of Southwest London.
In response to her ex’s legal team’s claims that the desire to remove the judge is the equivalent of a Hail Mary pass, Angelina’s representatives have said she just wants a ‘fair trial’ with ‘no special favors’ for either party.
