Selling Sunset’s Davina Potratz has received DEATH threats following row with Chrishell Stause

Selling Sunset star Davina Potratz has revealed she has received graphic death threats following her comments about Chrishell Stause’s divorce from Justin Hartley.

During a discussion with Chrishell on the season three finale of the Netflix hit, Davina suggested that she was unable to support her due to not having the full story.

The third instalment of the real estate reality show saw Chrishell, 39, claim her estranged husband Justin had filed for divorce and notified her by text.

Davina also quizzed Chrishell over whether she was really ‘blindsided’ by the divorce and asked her friends if she ‘really’ wanted her colleagues to be there for her. 

Her comments sparked backlash from viewers who questioned why she wouldn’t just stand by her friend without having the ‘full picture’.

Davina confessed to Goss.ie that she had even received ‘insane death threats’ over the comments she made to Chrishell at co-star Christine Quinn’s wedding.

After explaining some of the distressing messages, she said: ‘It’s really shocking that people are at such a dark place with themselves that they would wish that for anyone – especially someone they’ve never met and know nothing about. They weren’t there, they don’t know what happened

‘It’s really terrifying, like what do you hate so much about your own life that you would wish that on a stranger?’

Davina said that she blocks and delete anyone who has sent her this type of message because she doesn’t want to bring that sort of ‘energy’ into her life. 

She added: ‘It doesn’t matter what they think because they have no information. I took a lot of heat for that.’

Davina insisted that despite the tense conversation that caused Chrishell to leave the event the two colleagues are now on good terms.

She claimed that what was aired was far more shocking that what really went down, as she admits she understands why the reality show had to air in a dramatic fashion. 

Davina claimed that the real reason Chrishell left was because of the topic in general, not due to her comments alone.

The realtor maintained her position that she didn’t have enough information on the situation to comment at the time.

Elsewhere, This is Us actor Justin is reportedly not happy with how his ex Chrishell is portraying their split.

Justin is said to be ‘irritated that she’s airing their private information publicly and knows there is more to the story than is being told,’ a source told Us Weekly.

Though the actor, 43, ‘has not watched the episodes’ he has been told what his ex-wife said about their break-up.

‘He’s irritated that she’s airing their private information publicly and knows there is more to the story than is being told,’ the source said. ‘His close friends and family know what really happened, as does Chrishell, so ultimately it’s her choice of what is put out there.’

In the new season, the Selling Sunset star broke down in tears as she recalled exactly how Justin informed her of the filing late last year.

Though the source insisted: ‘The claims made in the show that something changed in Justin after his This is Us fame are completely false.’

In the emotionally-charged clip, she reveals to her costar Mary Fitzgerald that the This Is Us actor sent the bad news on text message, explaining: ‘He text me that we were filed,’ she said, adding: ‘Forty-five minutes later, the world knew.’

Mary looks shocked at the news, as she asks her in disbelief: ‘He texted you?!’

Chrishell went on: ‘I talked to him right after because I thought that must be a joke. But that was kind of the end of the communication.’

‘When I found out, I was minutes before leaving the house for work so I immediately just grabbed a few things and I just got out of there as fast as I could,’ the former soap star said.

‘I don’t think I really knew where I was going or what I was going to do, but I just had to leave.’

‘I’m just kind of in shock with it all,’ the former daytime TV star added through tears.

Adding: ‘Chrishell knows that’s not what happened, so for her to let people believe that is upsetting to him.’

News of their divorce emerged last November, with the 43-year-old actor citing irreconcilable differences in his legal filings.

At the time sources say the split came as a complete surprise to Chrishell.

There is some dispute over the timeline of the breakup.

In divorce filings Justin listed the date of separation as July 8.’ She claims November 22, the day he filed, was the actual date of separation, however.

Making things murkier, the pair made several public appearances together following Justin’s claimed date of separation, seen together at the Emmy Awards in September 2019, the Veuve Clicquot Polo game in October 2019, and a Hollywood Reporter-hosted pre-Golden Globes bash in November of that year.

The source added that ‘Justin is in a good place. [He] wants to just move on.’

Justin was linked to his former The Young and the Reckless co-star Sofia Pernas earlier this year.
