Lucifer’s Tom Ellis reveals he hasn’t seen daughters in SEVEN months after being stuck in LA

Tom Ellis has revealed his pain at not being able to see his two daughters for the past seven months after being stuck in Los Angeles amid the coronavirus pandemic. 

The actor shares custody of daughters Florence, 12, and Marnie, eight with his ex wife Tamzin Outhwaite and also has Nora, 15, from his previous relationship with Estelle Morgan.

Tom, 41, was in the midst of filming the fifth series of Netflix‘s Lucifer when California issued a stay-at-home order, which made it difficult for him to travel to the U.K to see his girls. 

Tom told The Guardian: ‘It’s been excruciating. There is a part of you that isn’t there when they’re not around, I don’t ever really want to be in that headspace ever again.

‘Trying to remain positive while the world is falling apart and having your children away from you and not knowing you will see them was just…Yeah.’

The Miranda actor told the publication he is now planning a grand reunion with his children after seven long months apart.

However it is complicated, as Tom will have to go into quarantine both when he arrives in the U.K and when he flies back to America. 

Last year, Tom married Meaghan Oppenheimer in a romantic woodland ceremony in Santa Ynez, after four years of dating. 

Ellis’ wife Meaghan is a screenwriter who wrote the 2015 film We Are Your Friends, an episode of Fear the Walking Dead and who created the Facebook Watch series Queen America.

Tom had split from his ex-wife Tamzin in 2014. Their marriage is said to have ended after the actor admitted to cheating on her with Lost actress Emilie de Ravin.

The former EastEnders actress said in a 2015 interview with Essentials Magazine that there was more to the split than just an act of infidelity.

She said at the time: ‘I wouldn’t not be with my husband over a one-night stand is all I’ll say.’

Tamzin, 49, is now dating actor Tom Child, 28, and earlier this year defended their 21-year age gap.
