Capital FM’s Sonny Jay announces he’s ENGAGED to girlfriend Lauren Faith

Capital FM presenter Sonny Jay has announced he’s engaged to long-term girlfriend Lauren Faith.

The DJ, 27, took to Instagram on Thursday to reveal he popped the question to his girlfriend of three years during a romantic boat ride, and gushed he ‘couldn’t be happier to spend the rest of his life’ with her.

Sonny – who presents the Capital FM breakfast show with Roman Kemp – shared two loved-up snaps in Mykonos with his fiancée, who was dressed in a stunning red halterneck gown.

Revealing his joy to fans in his caption, Sonny wrote: ‘SHE SAID YES ❤️❤️ Couldn’t be happier to spend the rest of my life with the most beautiful soul I know.’

The future groom then tagged his loved one and added: ‘I love you so much xx’

Lauren also took to her own social media account to share a glimpse of how Sonny proposed, as she shared a video of him getting down on one knee at the bow of their yacht while she held a bouquet of roses in one hand.

Besides herself with joy, Lauren looked shocked as Sonny asked her to be his wife before she said yes and hugged and kissed him.

She also shared a snap of her and Sonny together as she flashed a look at her gorgeous diamond-encrusted engagement ring.

Gushing in the caption, she wrote: ‘I SAID YESSSSSSSSS!!!!! one of the most romantic days when your best friend asks you to marry them (sic).’ 

Sonny and Lauren have been dating for over three years, and first got together after he appeared at her door with flowers and asked her ‘to be mine’.

Reflecting on their romance in April last year, Sonny wrote: ‘I can’t believe it was two years ago I turned up to your house with a bunch of flowers asking you to be mine. 

‘The last two years have gone so quick and yet we’ve achieved so so much together. Thank you for being the best support I could ever ask for!Happy Anniversary – I Love You.’
