The shocking moment Sunrise host David Koch meets his doppelgänger live on air – and they look like identical twins
He’s one of the country’s most recognisable TV presenters.
But it turns out there is at least one other person in Australia who looks exactly like Sunrise host David ‘Kochie’ Koch.
During Wednesday’s show, the 64-year-old was taken aback by the remarkable similarities he shared with Victorian business owner Paul Capkin.

During Sam Mac’s segment where he checks in on senior citizens, he introduced Paul Capkin to Kochie and Sunrise co-host Natalie Barr.
Paul told Kochie that he often is told he could pass as the veteran journalist: ‘My business is called Posh Wash, so I get Kochie Washy.’
When Sam Mac asked if Paul took the comparison as a compliment, he cheekily responded ‘sometimes’.

‘A couple of times, people have said to me “Kochie, how come you are wearing a St. Kilda scarf”,’ he joked, noting Kochie’s allegiance to Port Adelaide.
The Sunrise panel laughed in hysterics as Sam Mac agreed: ‘That is a give away!’
Asked to turn side on for a profile view, Kochie and Paul also appeared to share the same bald head shape and nose.

Paul poked fun of their comparison further by repeating Kochie’s most common phrases and mannerisms via Zoom.
‘As soon as he came up on the Zoom, I thought who’s that good looking dude,’ Kochie joked at being introduced to his lookalike.
