Meet the new host of Studio 10: Dr Andrew Rochford

Meet the new host of Studio 10: Dr Andrew Rochford is ‘likely to co-anchor’ the show alongside Sarah Harris after the network cut 25 jobs

Dr Andrew Rochford is being touted as a likely candidate to co-host a new-look Studio 10 alongside Sarah Harris.

On Monday, The Australian reported that the program is set to undergo changes in the coming weeks – including switching from a panel format to a two-person format, like Nine’s Today Extra and Seven’s The Morning Show.

TV Blackbox has since claimed that ‘the most likely person’ to assume the role of male anchor is Dr Andrew Rochford.

The industry website noted that Rochford has featured on Studio 10 several times in recent weeks and is considered a safe and uncontroversial choice.

The doctor, who made his TV debut as a contestant on Nine’s The Block in 2004, joined The Project in 2010 as a panellist. He was later promoted to fill-in host after the departure of Charlie Pickering.

In 2014, he was hired by  7News as a medical reporter, but returned to Channel 10 to host the game show Pointless in 2018, which was cancelled the following year.
