Joe Jonas urges his fans to celebrate his birthday by voting in the 2020 presidential election

He celebrated his 31st birthday on Saturday with his wife Sophie Turner.

But Joe Jonas let his fans get in on the birthday action by telling his fans on social meida that the best way they could celebrate his special day was to vote in the United States’ upcoming presidential election.

The Jonas Brothers lead singer urged his eligible fans to make their voices heard on November 3, 2020, though he didn’t specify how he hoped they’d vote.

Joe initially shared a tweet urging his followers to vote, and he reposted it afterward to Instagram.

‘Feeling the love today!’ he began. ‘If you wanna get me anything this year… if you can… VOTE,’ he wrote, following it up with kissing and lovestruck emojis.

‘Let’s Go!’ he added to his Instagram caption, along with a kissing emoji and a birthday cake.

Joe had previously joined his brothers Nick and Kevin Jonas in a video posted to his Instagram on July 26 when he urged his fans to vote and noted they were only 100 days away from the election.

‘We are just 100 days out from the general election on November 3rd, one of the most important elections of our lifetimes,’ the three brothers said as they traded off lines.

‘With the challenges we face as a country, from the emergence of COVID-19, to police violence and racial bias, your involvement in this fight is more important than ever.’

Although Joe didn’t mention his support for either major political party in his tweet from Saturday, the earlier video mentioned issues that starkly divide the parties.

On August 11, the singer tweeted a gif of Kamala Harris dancing to celebrate her selection as former Vice President Joe Biden’s running mate.

Two days later, his wife Sophie Turner posted a photo of the California Senator to show she was in agreement about the pick.

‘My heart is so full … this is big ♥️ #Mamala,’ she wrote.

Although Joe was focused on civic issues in his birthday tweet, his wife was happy to serenade him in her own Instagram post from his special day.

The 24-year-old Game Of Thrones star captioned her black and white picture: ‘Happy birthday to my love/bub/baby daddy.’

The image showed Joe, who turned 31 on Saturday, with his hand over Sophie’s as the two looked up from their menus at a restaurant.

She appeared to wear a white shirt with rolled up sleeves, while he wore a black blazer over a ribbed white shirt.

The reference to Joe being her ‘baby daddy’ was the first time Sophie has said anything publicly about being pregnant.

The actress’ Instagram posts dried up to a trickle after the early days of the coronavirus pandemic, and her only posts since June have been a photo of a Black Lives Matter protest, another post about the BLM movement, and a photo of California Senator Kamala Harris from Thursday, when Sophie gushed about her status as Joe Biden’s pick for Vice President.

In addition to staying mum on her pregnancy and birth, Sophie appeared to try to hide her baby bump in the early days of her pregnancy with baggy clothes.

Joe has maintained a similarly minimalist social media presence in recent months, but he shared a humorous post to his Insta Stories to celebrate his big day.

‘Thanks for all the love babes,’ he captioned a photo of himself drinking a mimosa.

He puckered up his lips in a pout, and the picture was photoshopped or filtered to give him a comically rugged jaw line, which fit perfectly with his designer stubble.
