Farmer Wants A Wife star on scenes that weren’t aired

Farmer Wants a Wife’s Sam Reitano quit the show on Sunday after the tragic death of his grandfather.

During the same episode, the tropical fruit farmer, 28, was dealt another blow, hearing from contestant Sophie Pereira that his feelings for her weren’t reciprocated.

But in an interview with Now To Love on Monday, Sophie, 28, revealed there were a number of private conversations with Sam that bizarrely never made it on air.

Cut! Farmer Wants A Wife’s Sophie Pereira (pictured), 28, revealed the conversations with farmer Sam Reitano that never made it on air, in an interview with Now To Love on Monday

While Sam appeared shocked to hear Sophie wasn’t falling in love with him, the brunette explained how she had previously had a heart-to-heart with the farmer.

‘Thinking back, it made it look like I didn’t take any time to talk to him about how I was feeling,’ Sophie said of the private conversations that never made it on air.

Sophie went on to reveal how they had a ‘long’ conversation where Sam said, ‘I’m falling in love with you’, to which she replied, ‘Thank you, but I’m not there’.

The reality star is still single, and despite the show having caused an ’emotional toll’, she hasn’t given up on love.

During Sunday’s episode, Sam received a heartbreaking call from his mother telling him his grandfather had died from a heart attack.

Sam made the difficult decision to leave the show, and broke the news to his remaining ladies, Emily, Riley and Sophie ahead of the group dinner.

He told his women: ‘This week has been a really big week. I know we all came here to find love and I thought I could get through this but I can’t.’

Sam went on to tell the girls that he’s ‘enjoyed every moment’ he’s had with them but he needs to be with his family.

‘Right now I need to attend to my family back at home and I’m going to have to call it quits,’ he said.

‘I’ve got to end this right now for myself. I’ve enjoyed every moment I’ve had with you all.’

Sam also told Sophie he thought she was his perfect match until she told him she wasn’t interested in pursuing a romantic relationship with him.

‘You put the cherry on top but then you gave me this bombshell today and you broke my heart into pieces but that’s life. You can’t always get what you want,’ he said.

Sophie then apologised and explained she didn’t want to break Sam’s heart but she didn’t feel they had a romantic connection.

‘I would of loved to not be in a situation where I had to break your heart and to have to do it when you and your family are going through what you’re going through,’ she explained.

‘Thank you to you and to your family because they opened their home… You’re all an amazing bunch of people,’ she added.
