Candice continued: ‘I’m doing this for my family, for my kids and for myself. Since retiring about seven or eight years ago I haven’t had a goal.

‘I haven’t challenged myself as much as I’d like to so I just want to see how strong I am, how far I can push myself.’

Candice will star on the endurance reality show, with her years as a professional athlete giving her an advantage mentally and physically.

Candice will star alongside PR queen Roxy Jacenko, former Bachelor Nick Cummins and Schapelle Corby.

The cricket WAG has certainly had her fair share of ups and downs alongside husband David Warner over the past two years.

David was banned for one year by Cricket Australia after he helped mastermind a plot to cheat in the Third Test against South Africa in March 2018.

Former captain Steve Smith and player Cameron Bancroft were also punished for their involvement, receiving 12-month and nine-month bans respectively.

Meanwhile, Candice told The Australian Women’s Weekly that she had miscarried just a week after David apologised for his role in the conspiracy.

‘I was bleeding. We knew I was miscarrying. We held one another and cried,’ Candice told the magazine.

‘The miscarriage was a tragic consequence, a heartbreaking end to a horror tour,’ she added.
