Bachelor contestant Juliette Herrera has revealed that losing her father when she was 26-years-old shaped her life.
Speaking to 10 Play this week, the 34-year-old revealed he was just 18 when her dad was diagnosed with motor neuron disease, rendering him unable to communicate before his ultimate passing.
That loss led to the Sydney stylist shutting herself off from love and relationships and has been single for 12 years.

‘I’ve never told a guy I like him, never chased a guy, I’ve just been sitting at home… dancing around the house,’ she admitted.
She added: ‘I don’t know what it’s like for a man to love me and take care of me and actually care about me.
‘I don’t know what it’s like to have someone look out for you, or to see how your day is or what your dreams are.

‘Even though I’m fulfilled, I don’t actually know what that feels like – and maybe I need that.’
Juliette hopes to find love with new Bachelor Locky Gilbert, 30, as she competes with a bevy of beauties on the current season of the dating show.
The brunette beauty, who is very religious, added however that she wants to settle down soon and if Locky isn’t feeling it with her, she hopes to move on quickly.
‘Don’t give me a rose if we’re not vibing! I don’t have time to waste, mate,’ she said.
