Singer and actress Lea Salonga had supplied Mulan’s singing voice and performed the song in the original movie, while Christina sang an end-credits version released as a single.

The song’s success and her command of her upper register won her a recording contract with RCA and the song was later included on her debut eponymous album.

She also revealed that a ‘reimagined’ Reflection was made to ‘coincide with the movie’s score.
