Carey Mulligan looks effortlessly chic as she makes a rare public appearance to grab lunch

She’s been off the radar for most of the coronavirus pandemic while isolating with her musician husband and their children. 

But Carey Mulligan stepped out a rare public outing on Thursday as she grabbed lunch with a pal in Beverly Hills. 

The actress, 35, kept a low profile in a classic T-shirt and denim palazzo pants combo as she sauntered into the restaurant wearing a protective mask.  

She dined al fresco with a girlfriend in the afternoon with a Sephora bag in tow after enjoying a bit of light shopping. 

The blonde beauty opted for a pair of loose denim cargo pants in a faded blue tone. 

Carey paired the statement trousers with a white tank top, a pair of comfortable black sandals and a leather black satchel bag that perched by her hips.

The Great Gatsby starlet kept her tresses in a relaxed and wavy bun with a coral hairband, while keeping her make-up to a minimum. 

She kept a low-profile by wearing a mask and a pair of chic rounded black glasses as she strolled through the streets of LA. 

Carey was spotted wearing delicate jewellery including a gold necklace and hoop earrings as the sat down outside and had a look at the menu.  

The British actress was last seen out in public in May with her husband Marcus Mumford, 33, who is the lead singer in the Indie rock band, Mumford and Sons. 

She etched out some time to spend on a Friday afternoon stroll with Marcus and their young son while enjoying a cup of takeaway coffee.  

Carey and Marcus were childhood pen pals and later reconnected as adults after they had both found fame in separate fields.

The couple married in April 2012 and have two children together; daughter Evelyn Grace, four, and a son Wilfred, three.
