Premiering on HBO in April 2019, the documentary used Muhammad Ali’s own voice to tell his incredible story of going from high-profile, world heavyweight champion to a voice of a generation and beyond as an inspiring social activist for peace and equality.

The two-part piece features never-before-seen archival footage from throughout the legendary boxer’s career, as well as his battles outside the ring, including his refusal in 1967 as a ‘conscientious objector’ to be drafted into the Army and go fight in Vietnam.

Ali passed away in June 2016 at the age of 74. He is widely considered among the greatest boxers of all time, winning the heavyweight title three times during his illustrious career.
