Jackass star Steve-O duct tapes himself to a BILLBOARD in LA to promote new comedy special… as he gets reported on crime alert app Citizen and cops arrive at the scene

Jackass star Steve-O found himself confronted by the cops after taping himself to a billboard during his latest stunt on Thursday.

The prankster, 46, promoted his new comedy special Gnarly by climbing high above the streets near the corner of Hollywood’s North Cahuenga Boulevard.

Though he assured fans he was being kept safe by a ‘team of real professionals,’ worried onlookers called police and flagged him to the crime reporting app Citizen.

Steve-O shared a bird’s eye view of his stunt on Instagram. In the selfies he perched on a tiny ledge while completely covered in black duct tape.

Though most would have been terrified, the MTV alum couldn’t wipe the grin off his face.

Below you could see a small crowd gathering, many with their phones out to document the wild scene.

‘Im attached to a billboard right now,’ he announced on social media. ‘ [I] want to emphasize that a team of real professionals rigged everything safely.’

‘There is zero chance of me falling, and it’s important to me that we not waste any valuable city resources on this. I’m happy to just hang out, and really want the world to know about this project I worked so hard on. It’s called Gnarly and, If you’re over 18, check it out at steveo.com! Thanks!’

While he was adamant about not wanting ‘valuable city resources’ to get wasted, police had no choice but to stop by the scene.
