Before he contracted COVID-19, which would ultimately take his life, Cordero  insisted on moving his family from the East Coast to Los Angeles where he purchased the property in Laurel Canyon.

The couple, who wed in 2017,  had just embarked on remodeling the house when Cordero became sick.

He was hospitalized in LA at the end of March suffering from pneumonia.

Subsequent tests ultimately confirmed he had the coronavirus but complications kept him in the ICU at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

In the weeks that followed, he had to have his right leg amputated, suffered extensive lung damage and lost 65 pounds as the virus took its toll, leaving him unable to movie or speak.

On July 5, the Rock of Ages and Waitress star succumbed at the age of 41 after 95 days in intensive care.

Announcing her move into the renovated house, Kloots, 38, posted to her Instagram a photo of herself, Cordero and their son taken on the day they took possession of what was to be their family home.

In the caption, the former dancer turned fitness instructor wrote: ‘This is us, the day we got our keys to our first home before we started renovations. I remember taking this picture, documenting the “before” so we could show the progress each month.’

Kloots went on: ‘Nick bought us this house. He found the listing, insisted on going to the open house, and did all the work to get the mortgage. He knew we needed a home and I’m so grateful, especially now, for his foresight.’

She added: ‘I thought I’d be terrified but it’s oddly been comforting….. I think this is because I know this was Nick’s dream and today Elvis and I are bringing that dream to life.’
