The Bachelor’s Locky Gilbert is left speechless as Areeba Emmanuel asserts ‘she’s the boss’

The Bachelor‘s Locklan ‘Locky’ Gilbert was left speechless after meeting Areeba Emmanuel during Wednesday night’s premiere.

Prior to arriving on the red carpet, the 25-year-old home loan officer asserted ‘she’s the boss in a relationship’.

‘I’m boss at work, I’m boss at home and I’m a boss in my relationship. I don’t let anybody get in my way. I am a very competitive person,’ she told producers.

After walking out of the car and meeting Locky, Areeba made sure he knew she liked being in charge. 

‘I would say about 80 per cent of the time I’m the boss. And [my boyfriend] needs to figure out when he needs to be the boss,’ she said.

‘Yeah, ok. I like it,’ a stunned Locky said as Areeba added: ‘I hope you like bossy girls because I’m all that.’

‘I’m fun, I’m bossy and I’m everything that you dream of,’ she said as she entered the mansion.

Many viewers’ flocked to twitter, claiming Areeba’s confident personality was going to ‘make this season interesting’.

‘We have no choice but to stand Areeba. She won’t end up with Locky but my god will she be good on Paradise,’ one person tweeted.

‘What not to say on a first interaction… just watch Areeba on The Bachelor,’ another said.

‘Areeba is totally going home tonight, wait no they’ll keep her on for a few episodes to create interest and then she’ll go,’ another person commented.

‘So Areeba is 100% not Locky’s type. She doesn’t like adventure. And he 100 per cent doesn’t want to be bossed around by the “boss”,’ one said.

‘Areeba has chaotic queen energy and I am HERE FOR IT,’ one person wrote. ‘Well I really like Areeba and kinda wanna be friends with her,’ another said.
