Selling Sunset’s Christine Quinn reveals death threats as she talks friendship with Chrishell Stause

Christine Quinn is no stranger to getting the villain edit, after three seasons on Netflix‘s hit reality show Selling Sunset.

On the latest season, the celebrity real estate agent has been feuding with her co-star Chrishell Stause, amid her high profile divorce Justin Hartley.

Quinn opens up about the status of their friendship in an exclusive interview with People, also revealing that she’s received death threats over her depiction on the show.

The 31-year-old said she toned down for season two after seeing her depiction in season one: ‘We definitely were a little more reserved going into season two. I was scared. I was a little scared.

‘The first few episodes of season two, the editors were like, “Where’s the other Christine? Where’s Christine?” I’m like, “Well, that Christine gets death threats.”’

She continued: ‘People are so invested in the show, and they see what they see and just think I’m this crazy person. It’s just unfortunate. People are weird.’

But Quinn doesn’t appear too mad about getting the villain edit: ‘I guess I am the quote-unquote “show villain,” but I love it.

She added: ‘ Whether it’s perceived well, I don’t know, but I’m really just being myself. I do have a heart of gold underneath that, and I think sometimes with television, it’s really hard to see all the elements of a human being on a television show.’

The Ballers actress said of her friendship with Stause, 39: ‘Well, her and I are not on the best terms. I’ve definitely tried. I did my best effort. It’s unfortunate. She just really didn’t want to be friends. She made it apparent she only wanted to co-exist.’

The latest chapter in their feud began last month, when Quinn reportedly spread false information about Stause’s divorce with This Is Us star Hartley, 43.

She told Page Six: ‘We all just thought maybe they were having communication problems for a while. We heard that they were in therapy, so obviously there were some issues going on with them.’

Stause later wrote on Twitter: ‘It’s so frustrating and unfortunate that someone would use someone’s personal painful situation to get press for themselves. I can’t say I am surprised, but please check the source. She has absolutely zero knowledge of the marriage we had.’

Hartley filed for divorce back in November, which ‘blindsided’ Stause, playing out on the recently released third season.

Meanwhile, Quinn tied the knot in December with Christian Richard, 41, a retired software engineer and current multimillionaire.
