Farmer Wants A Wife EXCLUSIVE: Emily Rath reveals what goes on inside the contestants’ secret group chat

There’s been plenty of drama on Channel Seven’s Farmer Wants A Wife reboot in the past few weeks.

She said she keeps in touch with many of the girls from the program, and credits the group as being ‘an incredible support throughout the show’.

‘It’s nice to still be able to keep in contact with them and use them as a support and talk about bits and pieces of the show,’ Emily said.

‘We go “oh, did that happen?” or “that’s an interesting thing that person said”.

‘There was a lot more drama than I thought there would be,’ Emily added, saying that she understands why fans of the once wholesome show are now comparing it to Married At First Sight (MAFS).

‘The show is just moving so quickly, we filmed a whole lot more than gets shown,’ she noted, adding that several ladies had noticed some of the more wholesome moments never make it to air.

Emily believes all the women have been represented fairly, and the show hasn’t created ‘characters’ out of contestants.

On Monday’s episode, Emily admitted she couldn’t see her relationship turning ‘romantic’ with Farmer Sam.

After earlier telling Riley he only saw her as a friend, the tables were turned on Sam, 28, when Emily told him she didn’t have feelings for him.

Despite Emily’s honest confession, Farmer Sam chose not to send her home.
