The Masked Singer: Jackie ‘O’ Henderson is ‘being paid $1million’

The Masked Singer EXCLUSIVE: Jackie ‘O’ Henderson is ‘being paid $1million’ to be a judge – after locking in a deal before the coronavirus recession hit

Jackie ‘O’ Henderson is believed to be the top earner on The Masked Singer judging panel, after securing a seven-figure, multi-year deal with Channel 10.

The 45-year-old radio presenter is earning about $1million, a well-placed source tells Daily Mail Australia, having locked in her salary before the coronavirus recession hit.

She is believed to be getting more than fellow judges Dannii Minogue, Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes and Urzila Carlson.

The mother of one is understood to be earning about the same that Lindsay Lohan received to be a judge on the first season last year.

Jackie’s higher salary reflects the fact that The Masked Singer is being promoted daily on her KIIS FM top-rating breakfast show.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Jackie Henderson’s manager for comment.

The Masked Singer was a surprise hit for Channel 10 last year. While it has slightly dipped in popularity, network bosses are said to be happy with season two’s ratings.

It comes after Jackie landed herself ‘in trouble’ with Channel 10’s notoriously prickly publicity department after dropping a spoiler about The Masked Singer on Tuesday.

Speaking on The Kyle and Jackie O Show, the glamorous blonde stated bluntly that her friend Sophie Monk wasn’t behind the Dragonfly mask.

Sophie had been mentioned as a possible contender during Monday night’s season premiere, but now she has been effectively ruled out.

Jackie’s slip-up will no doubt disappoint those viewers who prefer to base their guesses solely on the performances and cryptic clues.

She made the gaffe during a conversation about The Masked Singer with her KIIS FM co-host Kyle Sandilands and newsreader Brooklyn Ross.

‘Watching the Dragonfly, it sounded a lot like Sophie Monk, but then I was like, Jackie would have just clicked on that, surely,’ Brooklyn said.

Kyle added: ‘But when you are there, sometimes the audio in the room sounds different to how it comes out on television.’

‘So different, so different,’ Jackie replied. ‘Just wait until you hear next week. [The Dragonfly sounds] nothing like Sophie Monk.’

Realising she had just dropped a spoiler, she added: ‘Oh, jeez, I’ve said too much already. I really have to be careful. I’m going to get in so much trouble!’
