RHOC’s Tamra Judge says she put her ‘passion’ of being a real estate broker ‘on hold’ for the show

RHOC alum Tamra Judge is ‘excited’ to return to real estate after putting her ‘passion’ on hold for 12 years to film the hit reality show

She said adieu to the Housewife life in January, and is looking forward to her next chapter.

The Real Housewives of Orange County’s Tamra Judge revealed on Monday that she’s going back to one of her original ‘passions,’ which is real estate.

The reality star and CBD business owner, 52, spoke to Us Weekly about her plans, which involve renewing her brokerage license and joining a new agency.

Moving on: The Real Housewives of Orange County’s Tamra Judge revealed on Monday that she’s going back to one of her original ‘passions,’ which is real estate

‘Real Estate has always been my passion. I put it on hold to film RHOC for the past 12 years,’ Tamra told Us Weekly

‘I kept my license active while filming because I knew there would come a day when I’d go back. That day has come and I’m excited to join Residential Agent Inc. in Corona Del Mar,’ she continued.

After announcing she was leaving RHOC in January – after being on the Bravo program since its third season in 2008 – Judge told Real housewives maestro Andy Cohen via Instagram Live, ‘I’m just sitting at home studying my real estate because I need a new career.’

Last March, Tamra also touched upon her plans, during an Instagram Stories Q&A.

‘My real estate license recently expired and I’m renewing it now,’ she revealed at the time. ‘Never know when I’ll need it again.’

And now is the perfect time, since she is no longer with the reality show that occupied more than a decade of her life.

‘It’s been a wild 12 years. But it’s time to move on,’ she wrote on her Instagram on January 25th. ‘I’m sad to go but I’m very excited about my future. Love you guys.’

And while there was speculation that Judge really left the franchise because producers were planning to demote her to a part-time ‘friend’ role on the show, Tamra herself said in June that the reason had to do with something else entirely.

Speaking on podcast Behind The Velvet Rope With David Yontef, Tamra said: ‘The casting people are the first ones – the gatekeepers – they told one of my friends specifically they want to go in a different direction now.

‘They want to [go] hiring younger ones and get rid of the older ones,’ she claimed.
