Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli downsize to a $9.5M home amid college admissions scandal

They are expected to serve jail time later this year for taking part in a college bribery scheme to get their daughters Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose into a top school.

But in the mean time, it seems Full House star Lori Loughlin and husband Mossimo Giannulli have decided to downsize when it comes to their property portfolio – after recently purchasing a $9.5 million home in the Hidden Hills area of Los Angeles.

In January, the troubled couple listed their former Bel-Air home for $28.65 million, however it was reported that they ended up selling it for much less in July this year, though they are said to have still turned a profit.

Loughlin, 55, and her husband Giannulli, 57, also resigned from the exclusive Bel-Air Country Club, of which they were members, during their scandal.

Their new digs are situated within a gated community and is said to be a modern farmhouse style design with six bedrooms, nine bathrooms, and 11,748 sq ft of space, according to PEOPLE Magazine

It is not clear when the couple are planning to move in to the new property, as they await their official sentencing amid their scandal, with Loughlin expected to serve two months in prison, and then face two years of supervised release with 100 hours of community service.

The pair had been facing 40 years behind bars each for paying Rick Singer, the scheme mastermind, $500,000 to pass their daughters off to officials at USC as rowing stars when neither had ever played the sport.

They were arrested in March 2019 along with 50 other parents including actress Felicity Huffman.

The couple originally pleaded not guilty immediately and insisted they thought they were giving money to charity but in Mary, they both signed plea agreements where they accepted they will plead guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit fraud.

The harshest sentence was handed to Douglas Hodge, who was given nine months for his role.

He paid bribes totaling $850,000 – from 2008 until 2012 – to get four of his children into the University of Southern California and Georgetown University as fake athletic recruits, prosecutors said.

Hodge is appealing his nine month sentence, which is the harshest punishment handed out so far in the case.

Others have ranged between just one day behind bars to a probation only sentences to sentences of a few weeks or months.

Felicity Huffman was one of the first. She served just 14 days in prison last year for paying $15,000 for a proctor to change her daughter Sophia’s SAT score.
