Bachelor in Paradise star Jackson Garlick reveals just how staged the show is 

From exes returning to unlikely couples, season three of Bachelor in Paradise was never short of drama. 

And on Tuesday Jackson Garlick revealed just how staged the Channel Ten dating show really is. 

Appearing on Hit Hobart 100.9’s, Jimmy & Nath, the 26-year-old reality star explained that the drama you see on the TV is completely real. 

‘Yeah 100%, the producers cant make you do something you don’t want to do,’ he said. 

‘When emotions are high and exes come in and people are competing for other people’s attention it’s all relevant drama. 

Before adding: ‘And, you’ve got no phones so you can’t go sit in your room and debrief or decompress, so what you see is pretty much charged up from the cast on the show.’     

However, he did admit that the producers can influence the drama by selecting who they give ‘date cards’ to.  

‘[The producers] obviously don’t give it to someone who is happily in a couple, they give it to someone who will cause drama and most of the time they’re right,’ he said.  

Meanwhile, Jackson shared a flirty exchange with his former Paradise flame, Brittney Weldon, on Instagram on Saturday. 

The 27-year-old – who recently transformed her brunette locks to be blonde tresses – shared a photo of herself in a stunning floral dress. 

Jackson paid her a flattering comment writing: ‘Woah,’ along with a few hand clapping emojis. 

Brittney responded to the compliment with a smiley face emoji. A fan of the former lovebirds commented: ‘Wish u two were still together.’ 

Jackson and Brittney’s friendly interaction comes after she confirmed they are no longer dating last week.  

She shared the sad news to her followers on Instagram writing: ‘I’m here for my final update: @jacksongarlick and I aren’t together, but he is an amazing guy.’ 

The couple left Paradise together to see if their relationship could work on the outside.
