Zoe Kravitz strikes out at Hulu for a lack of shows starring women of color

Zoë Kravitz didn’t hold back her feelings about the cancellation of her series High Fidelity on Friday.

The 31-year-old Big Little Lies star called out the streaming service Hulu for a lack of diverse programming following news that her show was canceled on Wednesday.

The actress spoke her mind, albeit sarcastically, after her friend Tessa Thompson left a consoling comment.

Not a fan: Zoë Kravitz, 30, called Hulu out in an Instagram comment on Friday for a lack of diversity after her gender- and race-swapped show High Fidelity was canceled; shown in January

‘I will miss you alllllllllllll so much,’ the Thor: Ragnarok star wrote on Thursday.

‘@tessamaethompson it’s cool,’ Zoë replied. ‘at least hulu has a ton of other shows starring women of color we can watch. oh wait.’

Though the film that the series was based on and the novel by Nick Hornby both featured a man in the lead role (played by John Cusack) in the movie, the role was recast with a biracial woman, though Zoë’s character kept the name ‘Rob.’
