Queensland’s border closure was announced on Friday, following the rapidly increasing number of COVID-19 cases in Victoria and hot spots in New South Wales.

People travelling to Queensland must quarantine at a hotel at their own expense for 14 days.

The only people allowed to cross the border are truck drivers, essential workers and border residents.
