Teri Hatcher, 55, gets leggy and dons cutoff denim shorts and mask during day on the beach in Malibu

She proudly posted an untouched photo of herself in a bikini on Instagram last December to celebrate her body at the age of 55 and reveal she’s finally figured out how to be comfortable in her own skin.

And on Thursday Teri Hatcher got to relax both her mind and body when she soaked in the fresh air and sun on the beach in Malibu, California.  

The Desperate Housewives alum was spotted as she was walking near the shoreline of the Pacific Ocean, seemingly headed back to her car after laying out on the sand. 

For the stroll, Hatcher wore cut-off denim shorts that showcased toned legs and a light blue button-down shirt.

She also sported red sneakers, stylish sunglasses and pulled her long brown tresses back into a ponytail. as she carried an aqua-blue bag over her right shoulder.

And in keeping with health and safety protocols amid the still raging COVID-19 pandemic, the Palo Alto, California native wore a black protective mask

Hatcher, who alleged she was sexually abused by an uncle at the age of five, has dealt with body image issues for many years.   

But from the sounds of her bikini post celebrating her 55th birthday, she has made great strides in being healthy in mind, body and soul.    

‘I’ve finally figured out how to be comfortable in my own skin. Maybe not every day but a lot of them,’ she wrote in the caption of the two photos showing her triumphantly flexing her arms in her two-piece swimsuit.

‘Age allows you to be clear on your purpose and cherish who and what you are grateful for. You have enough age to see the miracle of life and enough youth to revel in that knowledge.’

Hatcher took the pictures at the end of an eight-week gym challenge that involved her being on an anti-inflammatory diet, she revealed in an interview with Today.  

After breaking though in the late 1980s in such films as The Big Picture, Soapdish  and Tango & Cash, she shot to stardom as Lois Lane in the television series Lois And Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman (1993-1997).

Many fans also know her for her role as Susan Mayer during her eight seasons on the hit comedy-drama series Desperate Housewives (2004-2012).

Hatcher has a daughter: Emery Tenney, 22, from her second husband Jon Tenney, whom she was married to from 1994-2003.
