Rachel McAdams masks up for mom duty as she steps out with her two-year-old son in LA

Rachel McAdams was spotted enjoying a sunny walk in Los Angeles this week with her two-year-old son.

The 41-year-old Mean Girls icon made sure to keep her mask on while she stepped out amid the coronavirus pandemic.

She stuck to a simple outfit of a sweatshirt and leggings, accessorizing with a blue baseball cap and a cross-body bag.

The Midnight In Paris actress shares her son with her boyfriend Jamie Linden but has yet to reveal her child’s name.

Jamie, the screenwriter of such films as We Are Marshall and Dear John, has been in a relationship with Rachel since 2016.

Rachel shared this April that in lockdown ‘I have a very welcome distraction in my son, who is two. That’s pretty much what I do all the time.’

She was speaking virtually to the Heroes of Health: COVID-19 Stream-a-thon which was taking place from her Ontario hometown of London.

‘He’s so entertaining,’ said Rachel of her son during the stream, according to Today. ‘

‘I thought: “Would I rather be alone in quarantine or with my family?” There are days, sure, but I would be so bored without him around to make it so fun.’

In November 2018, months after welcoming her son into the world, she described motherhood as ‘the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me, hands down.’

She told the Sunday Times that ‘your life is not your own any more. But I had 39 years of me, I was sick of me, I was so happy to put the focus on some other person.’

Rachel confessed she ‘waited a long time’ to have a baby but ‘It’s just how it happened. And I didn’t want to do it before it was the right time.’
