In accordance with recent government guidelines, Michelle Keegan is currently in a fortnight-long lockdown following her Spanish holiday.

Yet the Coronation Street star, 33, is not letting coronavirus restrictions let her down as she took to Instagram on Thursday to share a stunning throwback snap while penning the caption: ’14 days in quarantine… worth it’.

Despite seeming contented with the state of affairs, Michelle was left confused when photographer Alan Strutt penned: ‘Thought it was 10 days now. X’, to which the seemingly delighted star responded: ‘is it??? Well if that’s the case I’m now free!!!’.

Michelle joined her husband Mark Wright and his family in Marbella and Ibiza last month and during their stay government guidelines changed. 

Like many Brits, the couple were in Spain when new guidelines were introduced, which saw Spain removed from the travel corridors exemption list. 

Despite a slew of reports claiming quarantine time would be slashed to 10 days, the government website – updated on Tuesday – maintains that anybody returning to the UK from Spain must provide contact details and self-isolate for 14 days. 

Michelle looked stunning in the throwback snap as she donned a bikini, sunglasses and a chic hat while throwing her head back in laughter.

Her sister-in-law Natalya revealed she was the photographer as she wrote a comment underneath reading: ‘Photography skills’. 

While the actress has been spending her time in quarantine plugging her new Very collection, her husband Mark has been working out, after he revealed he had put on a bit of ‘podge’ during his boozy break. 

He told his followers he indulged in ‘too much’ aioli, bread and beer’ while holidaying with Michelle. He told fans on Instagram: ‘Three days La Cala, five days Majorca, three days Ibiza. Of course ending with a bang of course, Ibiza.

Mark told his fans that he ‘wanted to get back into it’ following his return from holiday, as he insisted that training eventually ‘becomes addictive’.  

The presenter enjoyed one last cheat meal upon his return, as he shared a snap of his Chinese takeaway before saying he’d back ‘back on the gym buzz’ the next day.

Despite appearing to initially be happy to be home, the holiday blues soon set in as Mark shared a snap of himself enjoying a cocktail while watching the sunset.
