Joey King calls out ex Jacob Elordi for claiming he hasn’t seen their Netflix hit The Kissing Booth 2
Joey King says her ex/co-star Jacob Elordi is lying about not watching their hit movie The Kissing Booth 2.
The 21-year-old starlet wasn’t afraid to call out Elordi after he dismissively told Variety he hadn’t seen the Netflix rom-com.
The Emmy-nominated talent knocked his claim in a now-deleted tweet, telling followers: ‘Jacob watched it. He’s capping.’

Capping is slang for lying.
When Elordi was asked about the ending of The Kissing Booth 2, which sets up a third movie that has already been filmed, the actor admitted he hasn’t seen it.
‘I haven’t seen it. You’ve seen more than I have. I don’t know if I’m allowed to say that, but I haven’t,’ Elordi said.
Joey and Jacob broke up in early 2019 after meeting on set in 2017 and striking up a friendship.

Of course, the former couple/ on-screen opposites still had to be professionals during their kissing scenes in the film.
King said it was ‘a wild experience,’ but added: ‘It was a really beautiful time because I learned a lot about myself and I grew as an actor, I grew as a person.’
Talking on the Mood With Lauren Elizabeth podcast in October 2019, she said: ‘I am very much, like, a frickin’ huge fan of The Kissing Booth. I’m a fan of how it resonated with the world and it resonated with me.’

She continued, ‘Going back and doing that, and making the sacrifice, obviously, what everyone is thinking about. I’m not outwardly addressing, but what I’m kinda on the sly addressing, making those sacrifices was totally worth it.’
It’s hard to believe Elordi hasn’t seen the flick, especially considering it’s been topping the Netflix charts since it came out July 24.
Though Neflix doesn’t release specific viewership data, The Kissing Booth 2 was the most-watched film on Netflix according to a Forbes report.
