‘Fun times!’ The Wiggles’ Emma Watkins reminisces about her days as an Irish dancer as she shares a sweet throwback snap

She is a member of one of the cheeriest singing and dancing groups in the world, The Wiggles. 

But Emma Watkins was once just a starry-eyed youngster, as was seen in a throwback snap she shared to her Instagram on Wednesday. 

The now 30-year-old sported curly blonde locks as she gathered with her pals for a photo opportunity before they performed the Irish four-hand reel. 

Good ol’ days! The Wiggles’ Emma Watkins, 30, was once just a starry-eyed youngster, as was seen in a throwback snap she shared to her Instagram on Wednesday.

Emma looked adorable as she flashed the camera a big smile while holding on to her pal’s hand.   

She captioned the snap: ‘There I am on the left, blonde wispy hair, huge smile on my face, truly excited to dance the 4-hand reel with my dear friends, circa 1998.☘️

‘Love these old style dresses. Thank you Miss Donna for the fun times @reillystudioirishdance,’ she concluded.

This comes after Emma appeared on Carrie Bickmore’s Beanies 4 Brain Cancer special episode of The Project last month. 

And afterwards, the performer explained what an emotional experience it was, while paying tribute to her late grandmother. 

Emma appeared in a video link with a number of other guests to help raise funding for cancer research, and explained that she struggled not to cry.

Sharing a photo of herself and her nan to Instagram, Emma wrote:  ‘Tonight I learned so much about brain cancer from Carrie Bickmore’s leadership through awareness from her own family battles. 

‘#carriesbeaniesforbraincancer on tonight’s episode @theprojecttv enveloped me in so much emotion, I was trying hard not to cry on the live Zoom. 

‘Seeing and hearing the stories of so many families who have endured hardship and loss from this tragic disease.’

Emma went on: ‘Made me think of my Nana, the anniversary of her passing was yesterday to cancer. 7yrs ago, still one of the saddest moments. 

‘Sending love to all, especially during this time,’ she concluded.

The Project’s Waleed Aly, Peter Helliar and Tommy Little joined forces with host Carrie Bickmore for her special episode, all donning Beanies 4 Brain Cancer headwear. 

Carrie created Beanies 4 Brain Cancer, after she dedicated her Gold Logie to her first husband Greg Lange, who died of brain cancer in 2010.
