Jules Robinson and Cameron Merchant enlist The Block’s Mitch Edwards and Mark McKie to give their new home ‘a bit of love’… six weeks out from welcoming their first child

Jules Robinson and Cameron Merchant have a lot on their plate at the moment.

The former Married At First Sight stars are six weeks out from welcoming their first child – and they’re also about to settle on a new home, which is in desperate need of some tender love and care.

To get the job done, the reality TV couple have called in renovation experts, couple Mitch Edwards and Mark McKie, from The Block.

‘Will we get it done before the baby arrives? I actually don’t know,’ Jules, 38, told The Daily Telegraph on Friday.

‘I am a bit stressed out about it. The house needs a bit of love but we love interior design and decorating,’ she told the publication.

Jules and Cameron recently purchased a four bedroom, three bathroom property on Sydney’s northern beaches. No doubt their first priority is to get the nursery in order.

Last month, a heavily pregnant Jules revealed the daily ‘ritual’ she uses to ‘connect’ with her forthcoming bundle of joy.

‘One of the most precious parts of my pregnancy has been connecting with my gorgeous growing baby,’ Jules wrote on Instagram.

She continued: ‘Rubbing my bump with stretch mark oil and stretch mark cream twice a day is such a special ritual, to really stop and have a moment between just the two of us.

‘It’s so amazing to know that the baby can hear me now, so I tell #babycub each day exactly what I’m doing and why, and that I don’t think my belly button will pop but who knows!’

Jules and husband Cameron, 36, announced their baby news in The Sunday Telegraph’s Stellar magazine in April, amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The couple, who were paired on the 2019 season of Married At First Sight, tied the knot in a legally-binding ceremony in November.

Jules and Cameron had tried throughout 2019 to conceive a child, but had faced difficulties because of Jules’ age.

She told Stellar magazine: ‘Because of my age I had done all the hormone testing, the egg count… so much is instilled that you’re going to struggle because of your age.

‘Once it was all confirmed, I bawled out of pure joy and happiness. To create a baby with the man you love, there is no greater gift, and Cam will be one incredible father.’
