Bachelor In Paradise’s Keira Maguire slams stars copying her by acting like ‘villains’

Bachelor In Paradise’s Keira Maguire takes a stab at reality stars trying to replicate her success by acting like ‘villains’ for airtime

Bachelor In Paradise‘s Keira Maguire has made a career out of being a reality TV villain.

But the 34-year-old has made it clear that not many people have what it takes to replicate her success.

Speaking to PopSugar on Wednesday, the acid-tongued blonde said she ‘feels bad’ for reality TV contestants who try to get more airtime by putting on a ‘fake personality’ to appear like a ‘villain.’

‘People can see a genuine personality’: Bachelor In Paradise’s Keira Maguire, 34, (picured) has taken a stab at reality stars trying to replicate her success by acting like ‘villains’ for airtime

‘A lot of the other people that you’ve seen go onto the shows after me who have tried to be that b**ch, it hasn’t really worked out for them because people can see a genuine personality as opposed to a forced, fake personality,’ she said.

‘I feel probably bad that I’ve come out of it and been successful and people want to be like that, and they go onto that show thinking that they’re going to get something out of it,’ the Instagram influencer added.

Keira, who found fame on Richie Strahan’s season of The Bachelor in 2016, said she’s been successful in the ‘villain’ role because of her dry sense of humour.

Rather than acting maliciously to others, Keira says she has always delivered her ‘mean girl’ lines with a tongue-in-cheek undertone.

Keira returned to screens this year for her second stint on Bachelor In Paradise.

As usual, her trademark cutting remarks and general sassy behaviour quickly established her as a ‘villain’ yet again.

However, Keira has since admitted she was ‘very shocked’ by her edit, while admitting that she ‘made a bad decision’ by going the show.

Speaking on the JMo Confidential podcast last week, Keira said: ‘I am a little bit shocked… a little bit rattled [to be portrayed as a villain].’

She added: ‘I have obviously been on reality TV before but I feel like I’ve made a really bad decision by going on this particular show.’

Keira went on to say that she doesn’t like being portrayed as the villain as it gives her ‘massive anxiety’ and she doesn’t want to be hated.

‘It was never my intention to go into something and stir sh*t up but I am such an easy target in the way that I am reacting to things and I speak my mind and have a no-filter attitude,’ she said.
