And now Brittany Hockley has revealed what it’s really like filming the show.
The 32-year-old radiographer dished the details on her Life Uncut podcast, telling listeners that despite what they may think, ‘It’s not a holiday!’

Despite failing to find lasting love on the show, Brittany said that people tell her all the time that she got to enjoy a sunny break in the idyllic Fiji.
‘The worst thing is people being like, ”oh, at least you got a holiday!” Brittany said.
‘I cannot stress this enough – [Paradise] is not a holiday,’ she said, before insisting that it’s actually a ‘job’ to film on set.
‘It is constant, it’s a show – you’re working. Yeah, I’m not labouring all day, but it is a job,’ she said.

‘To be honest, there’d be moments when you’d be laying around, and the producer will come out and (clap) say, ”up you get, you’re all boring, you have to get up and go and do something.”

She revealed that they could start drinking at lunchtime, but could only have two drinks an hour.

‘You can’t start drinking until midday – the bar opens at 12 – and then you get two drinks an hour and you can basically drink until midnight. That’s a lot of drinks, and in the sun,’ Brittany said.
‘They have a duty of care, so while you’re allowed that many drinks – the second they think you’ve had too many, or you’re too intoxicated, they’ll cut you off,’ Brittany said.
‘It’s different because on The Bachelor, you don’t get a second alone with him – there’s nothing that could possibly happen. But in Paradise, there’s people everywhere, guys and girls … anything could happen, so they have to keep their eyes open.’
She said once she thinks Jamie Doran was cut off from the bar.
Brittany also spoke about the food available to contestants at the resort, and said they could order anything they want, including burgers, chips and steaks.
But the best part for Brittany was the food that came out after they finished filming, which included cheese and tomato toasted sandwiches.

In a bizarre twist, their exit wasn’t mentioned afterwards and none of the other contestants seemed to notice their absence.
‘Am I dreaming it or were Britt and Timm nowhere to be seen in that episode?’ one confused viewer wrote on Twitter.

Timm’s decision to leave came after his physical altercation with co-star Matt Whyatt at the Bula Banquet the previous night.
