Natasha Exelby reveals she’s ‘taken self-love to a whole new level’ during Melbourne’s lockdown

Natasha Exelby leaves Studio 10’s hosts shocked after the single TV presenter reveals she’s ‘taken self-love to a whole new level’ during Melbourne’s extreme lockdown

Sarah Harris got more than she bargained for when she asked Natasha Exelby how she’s been coping during Melbourne‘s lockdown on Studio 10 on Wednesday.

The single 32-year-old told Sarah and the rest of the Studio 10 hosts that she’s been indulging in plenty of ‘self-love’ to keep herself busy.

‘Oh, man. It is a lonely place out there. I did do some online dating… It’s a pretty good way to lose faith in humanity,’ revealed the TV journalist.

‘But look, what can I say? I’ve taken self-love to a whole new level,’ she added, pulling a cheeky face for the camera.

Her candid response left Sarah, 39, and the show’s fellow hosts, Joe Hildebrand, Kerri-Anne Kennerley and Angela Bishop all visibly stunned.

Describing her experience with online dating amid the pandemic as ‘largely horrific’, Natasha confessed she just feels ‘very, very lucky’ to still have a job.

She admitted she hasn’t found lockdown to be too hard, claiming she’s not a very ‘social’ person.

‘I’m not actually as social as other people, so you could argue that I’ve kind of been social isolating for about 20 years,’ she continued.

Natasha said she was still able to FaceTime with her family, and has been spending a lot of time grooming her eyebrows and indulging in at-home skin treatments.

She added that she also has ‘seven indoor pot plants’ to keep her company, revealing she’s given them all names such as ‘Hazel’, ‘Webster’, ‘Sylvester’ and ‘Cornelius’.

Natasha admitted she’s even taken to talking to her pot plants, and confessed she’s probably ‘going mad’ in isolation.

Melbourne moved into stage four lockdown restrictions on Sunday amid Victoria’s worsening coronavirus crisis.
