Bachelor in Paradise’s Ciarran Stott blasted after Renee Barrett admits he promised they’d ‘REUNITE’

Viewers were not happy after Ciarran Stott left his ex-girlfriend Renee Barrett in tears on Tuesday night’s episode of Bachelor in Paradise.

The former flames were forced to come face to face and address their issues after Ciarran was called out for his shifty behaviour when the topic of Renee was brought up during his session with the ‘Human Lie Detector’, Steve.

And after the uncomfortable conversation left her bawling, the brunette explained her sorrow to her pal Alisha Aitken-Radburn, claiming that the long-haired womaniser had promised her they would ‘reunite’ in Paradise.

After telling cameras he was sorry for cheating on Renee because it made him look bad, Ciarran spoke with a frustrated Renee about leaving their past behind and officially going their separate ways.

‘I might never get the closure that I need, and I need to accept that,’ Renee told the camera as she welled up with emotion shortly after the conversation.

It later evolved that Ciarran had told Renee they had the possibility of getting back together on the show.

Viewers were frustrated as they took to Twitter to give their insight after the scenes unfolded.

One vented: ‘Ciarran promised Renee they would be having a reunion in paradise???? HE IS THE F****** WORST #BachelorInParadiseAU.’

Another echoed: ‘So, in case Ciarran wasn’t already trash enough, he’s also been telling Renee that they would have a reunion in Paradise? God I hate him so much.’

‘I actually want to cry for Renee #BachelorInParadiseAU,’ another viewer sympathetically added.

Others couldn’t help but address Ciarran’s earlier eye-brow raising comments in the episode regarding his cheating ways.

‘WOW. Ciarran is literally deranged. Only regret about cheating on Renee is because it negatively affects his own image, not because he hurt her.’

Another said: ‘So Ciarran doesn’t regret cheating on Renee because it hurt her? Just because it hurt his reputation? #BachelorInParadiseAU.’

Upon learning that Ciarran had offered her friend a glimmer of hope, a no-nonsense Alicia made Renee throw the ring she had designed for him into the ocean.
