Bachelor in Paradise star Brittany Hockley reveals the REAL reason she split with Timm Hanly

Bachelor in Paradise star Brittany Hockley has taken aim at her co-star ex Timm Hanly while revealing the real reason behind their post-show breakup. 

Speaking on her podcast Life Uncut on Tuesday, the 32-year-old said she was ‘gobsmacked’ at the Timm became after the show.   

Brittany said the 27-year-old ‘in no way wanted to be in a relationship with anyone and wanted to party. Hard.’

‘He just didn’t want anyone around. I was there with him and he basically just left me alone and went and partied hard,’ she added. 

Brittany said that post-show the couple only saw each other once, for five days, and they argued after he didn’t come home one night. 

‘He just didn’t come home one night. I didn’t know where he was. He didn’t contact me. The next day we just had this really big argument,’ she explained. 

‘I said ”Is this who you are?” He had done that a few times that week. Just gone out and gone hard.’ 

Brittany said was in tears following the argument because it hurt she had waited eight years to find someone and be disappointed.   

‘I said “I can’t be with someone like this. You have to treat me with some respect. And he said ‘no.’…” I felt like none of it was real. Like it was a big trick.’  

Brittany said she had to end things because  Timm was ‘not the person [I] signed up for’, and described their post-show relationship as ‘horrific.’  

‘There’s some things that should stay between two people. But to sum it up, Timm was a very different person outside of Paradise,’ she told her co-host Laura Byrne. 

‘Everything he said to me, the way he made me feel, the way he was speaking, the things he promised me, none of that translated to the outside world. None.

‘I was so gobsmacked at the person he became the second we walked out of those doors. It was like I was talking to a different person.’ 

She said after their split she cried the ‘whole way back to Sydney’ and was ‘so hurt’ because she felt like she had been lied to. 

The brunette added that she still wanted Timm in her life and thought hoped to have stay friends with him – but he had different ideas.  

‘I just never heard from him again until the show started,’ Brittany explained, saying she was ‘ghosted hard’ by the tattooed star. 

‘I didn’t hear from him until recently. He said he didn’t know how to handle anything. He said he didn’t know how to handle it [their relationship].

‘He just said [the fame, being on the two shows] all got too much. He has since apologised and said he never wanted to hurt me.’

Brittany summed up her ex by say that why he does have a gentle side, he needs to mature. 

Brittany and Timm left Paradise on Monday night’s episode, choosing to vanish without saying goodbye to anyone.
