Rebecca Judd weighs in on the Ellen Degeneres bullying scandal

The Ellen DeGeneres Show has been hit with multiple claims that racism, bullying and sexual harassment was rife behind the scenes of the daytime program.

And Australia’s most outspoken footy WAG, Rebecca Judd, has now weighed in on the scandal.

Appearing on KIIS FM’s The 3PM Pick Up this Monday, the 37-year-old took aim at the show by throwing her support behind Ellen’s rumoured replacement, James Corden.

‘The latest rumour is that James Corden is going to take over. I like him!’ the former model declared.

Last week a network source told The Sun that, Corden, who hosts CBS’ The Late Show, has long been seen as Ellen’s ‘long term successor’ – even before the bullying scandal made headlines.

‘Now this shocking new development places a spotlight on the next step,’ they alleged.

However, a production source has since told DailyMail.com that Corden ‘is not under consideration’ as he already has a long term deal with CBS.

Meanwhile, Rebecca also slammed Ellen by weighing in on an ‘awful’ segment that aired on the talk show in 2017.

During the segment, Ellen shamed an audience member for stealing free merchandise during a taping of the show.

Confronting the woman on-stage, Ellen played hidden camera footage of her stealing the items, before demanding that she go to ‘Ellen jail’ – a stool set up in front of the entire audience.

‘That is such an awful set-up,’ Rebecca complained to her co-host Monty Dimond.

‘It’s like they even set up the cameras to film people knowing that someone was going to take more than one, and then to do that to them,’ she lamented.

Pressure has been building over the past several months as seemingly endless staffers have stepped forward to slam Ellen for perpetuating a ‘toxic work environment’.

The show’s parent company WarnerMedia last week launched an investigation after the employees went public with their grievances.

Last month, one current and ten former employees of the daytime chat show accused its three executive producers, Ed Glavin, Mary Connelly and Andy Lassner, of ‘bullying.’

DeGeneres is now allegedly telling executives at Telepictures and Warner Bros that she has had enough and wants to pull the plug on the show.

Last Thursday, DeGeneres attempted to do some internal damage control by issuing an apology email to current staffers, where she appeared to deflect all blame and noted that she was ‘disappointed’ to learn that the show was not ‘a place of happiness.’

The email was immediately met with backlash, with many expressing disappointment over DeGeneres shifting the blame to her executive producers.
