Timm Hanly addresses clash with Matt Whyatt on Bachelor In Paradise

Bachelor In Paradise‘s Timm Hanly has addressed his fiery clash with Matt Whyatt on Sunday night’s episode.

In an Instagram video posted after the show, the 27-year-old admitted to having ‘made a mistake’ and will ‘100 per cent own up’ if he ever speaks out of line.

On Sunday’s episode, Matt, 28, accused Timm of ‘isolating’ him by spreading that he’s ‘a dog that everyone hates’ for dating Ciarran Stott’s ex, Renee Barrett, 26.

Timm captioned the lengthy video ‘a few bad decisions does not define me’, and not only addressed the confrontation but also opinions that he disrespects women.

With regards to his clash with Matt, he said: ‘It was basically about me being just a bit too loyal to my friends and having sort of tunnel vision on everything.

‘I suppose you live and you learn. I can watch this back and see that I made a f***ing mistake… I’ll grow from this.’

Tim went on to reveal that he’s now ‘on good terms’ with all of his co-stars, and has apologised to Matt and Renee.

‘What you don’t see is me getting up first thing in the morning and apologising to Matt and Renee. We get over things pretty quickly. You just seem to see all the heat. I’m on good terms with everyone, I’ll always be on good terms with everyone.’ 

Timm also set the record straight on his views about women, having received a ‘few bad direct messages saying women are objects’.

‘I don’t think women are objects at all, nor do I think they should be owned by anyone,’ he stated.  

Timm went on to say that you never see him ‘sleeping around’, and will ‘100 per cent own up’ if he ever ‘speaks out of line’.

‘I am a child sometimes. I act before I think, I will 100 per cent own that. But thinking that women are objects, no, not a chance. That is just not who I am. That’s not how I was brought up.’ 

Timm’s fans flocked to the comments section, revealing how proud they were at him having ‘owned up’ to his mistakes.

On Sunday’s episode, Matt accused Timm of ‘isolating’ him by spreading that he’s ‘a dog that everyone hates’ for dating co-star Ciarran Stott’s ex, Renee Barrett.    

‘I don’t care what your opinion is about me. I’ll accept that and not talk to you,’ Matt said.

So far, Ciarran, 26, has romanced Jessica Brody, Abbie Chatfield and Kiki Morris on Bachelor In Paradise.

Fans were furious, accusing him of having ‘double standards’ and claiming his supposed bro code was sexist.
