Fiona Falkiner is in the process of undergoing IVF to have a baby with her fiancée Hayley Willis.  

The former Biggest Loser star has revealed her ‘traumatic’ and ‘lonely’ journey in an interview with The Daily Telegraph on Monday. 

The 37-year-old told the paper: ‘Obviously you have your partner but it can actually feel like a really lonely process’.

She added: ‘It is you and your body against all odds. Women don’t really talk about it until after the fact. It can be really quite traumatic.’

In the same interview, Hayley, 30, revealed that she, too, hopes to carry a baby, shortly after Fiona gives birth. 

Hayley said: ‘Fi is going first because she is older. I really want to carry a bub too but Fi will go first just because of the body clock on fertility, so her going first is best.

Fiona says that the women want to, ‘have the babies quite close to each other’ and ‘lose all the sleep at once’. 

Detailing their journey, Fiona and Hayley are launching a new podcast called What the IVF? on Monday.  

In a recent Instagram post, Fiona said of IVF treatments: ‘It’s a struggle mentally and physically and I just want to say to anyone else out there on this journey you are not alone!’

The couple haven’t announced a wedding date yet, but they’ve previously stated that it will be a ‘low-key’ ceremony with friends and family.
