Bachelor host Osher Günsberg reveals the reason he won’t go shirtless on Instagram two years on from his incredible body transformation

Bachelor In Paradise host Osher Günsberg has revealed why he refuses to go shirtless on Instagram following his extreme body transformation.

Speaking to Body and Soul magazine on Sunday, the 46-year-old joked that he is nowhere near as ripped as he was for that iconic 2018 shoot.

‘To maintain that level of body-fat percentage, my goodness me… that was hard to do. I enjoy eating too much,’ he lightheartedly told the publication.

Osher reiterated while he would never go shirtless on Instagram, he has remained fit.

‘There’s no way I’m getting my shirt off on Instagram. But I’ve got more muscle now, because I lift a lot more weights and I lift differently,’ Osher said.

He continued: ‘I enjoy the feeling of being stronger, of having a little more mass on my legs and arms. I enjoy riding my bike.’

He finished: ‘I’m not really training at all for any kind of aesthetic – I do it to make sure my head works right.’

Osher explained he sticks to a lean and green diet, and has also rid his house of video games in order to keep his mental health in check.

The TV host unveiled his incredible body transformation in August, 2018. Osher graced the cover of Men’s Health after a gruelling 10-week fitness regimen.

Writing on his Instagram page at the time, the beloved media personality said: ‘Over 10 weeks I lost 9kg of fat and gained 2.5kg by eating nothing but plants and training every day until I was a flat pancake on the gym floor.

‘This is me, with my shirt off on the cover of Men’s Health, and I’m the first plant-based person to do so in Australia.’

Osher also revealed that his fitness journey was motivated by mental health management after he decided to ditch his prescribed medication in 2017.

‘I started this #MHtransformation as a way to help me manage life off of meds,’ he wrote on Instagram.

‘I hadn’t been on antipsychotics for about 18 months before I started this.’

He continued: ‘I’d shifted to a different medication for the OCD, however as I got better and better, the side effects now became more prominent than the symptoms – so me and my Dr decided to try life without them.’

Changes: Osher went on a complete transformative health journey back in 2018, after coming off anti-psychotics and shifting to a different medication. Here before and after from the shoot
