Farmer Wants A Wife’s Harry Robertson discusses finding love on TV and reveals what made him uncomfortable on the show

Harry Robertson is hoping to find love on Channel Seven’s reboot of Farmer Wants A Wife.

The 28-year-old told The Daily Telegraph on Saturday that he turned to the successful TV show because there were no more eligible ladies in his country town.

‘All the women in Goolgowi have been snapped up,’ he said of his hometown, which has a population of 402 people.

The farmer, who produces grapes, cotton and sheep, also admitted that having to talk about his feelings on the show made him uncomfortable.

‘It wasn’t the easiest thing for me initially. I’m not really the kind of guy who is comfortable talking about their feelings,’ he said.

‘Until this show I actually didn’t realise I had so many feelings,’ he added.

It comes after Harry was left ‘gutted’ by blonde beauty Madison MacKenzie following their date on the show.

He was smitten with the 24-year-old Queenslander during their one-on-one time together, but as the rest of the ladies arrived, she became shy and retreated inside herself.

First, she refused to feed the lambs on the farm and hid in the kitchen drinking tea and sulking instead.

Harry admitted he was very disappointed that she didn’t get involved with the activities on the farm, saying: ‘Everyone else had a crack and got involved’.

Upset: Things only got worse when Madison vanished from the dinner table and hid in her room crying. 'It was gutting not to see her at the table,' Harry said, before going off to find her in her room, at which point he cuddled and comforted the weeping blonde

‘I’ve tried to help her a lot, there’s only so much I can do really. She needs her own space at the moment to deal with the emotions she’s got going on,’ he said.

Despite her tantrum, Harry decided not to send Madison home that night, which left the other girls feeling that he was perhaps being too kind.
