Olivia Palermo serves summertime floral vibes as the socialite walks her beloved pooch Mr. Butler

She’s rarely far from her beloved Maltese dog Mr. Butler.

And the canine companion was close by Olivia Palermo’s side again on Thursday, when the duo were seen striding the sidewalks of New York City together.

The 34-year-old socialite looked summer chic in an off-the-shoulder, floral dress. 

The tiered white ruffle dress fell above the brunette beauty’s knee and bore a blue floral pattern.

Palermo accessorized with a straw tote, floral print slides and oversize, mirrored shades.

The native New Yorker adhered to CDC recommendations by covering her face with a light blue handkerchief. 

In April Olivia shared tips with her social media following on how to stay stylish, while also helping to slow the spread of COVID-19.

‘Safety, but make it fashion,’ she captioned a picture of herself walking around in a chic yellow t-shirt, matching trainers and a furry coat.

She urged: ‘Get creative with your closet and make your own covering and leave the professional masks to the healthcare workers.’

Olivia ended the caption of the outdoor snap with: ‘Thankful to everyone helping on the frontlines on #worldhealthday and please #stayhome if you can!’  

Olivia’s post was met with mixed, as many followers deemed her message irresponsible.

‘Forget about fashion,’ one wrote, while urging others to simply wear surgical or cloth masks.

Another sarcastically commented: ‘Considering the shortage of food supplies and those who lost their jobs, a promotion of $800 boots will definitely make people feel better.’

Despite the initial controversy, Palermo has continued to share images of herself making use of her expansive collection of chic handkerchiefs.
